Student Researcher – Internship
University of Calgary – Supervisor: Dr. Farnaz Sadeghpour May 2024 – Current
Developed a machine learning model using RNN and LSTM networks to predict human movement in construction sites, in collaboration with Professor Farnaz Sadeghpour at the University of Calgary. The project involved gathering and preprocessing sensor data, visualizing and analyzing it, training the model, and evaluating its predictive accuracy for research purposes.
Projects Highlights
Summer Program Website Development:
Designed a website for a summer program to enhance communication and submissions for staff members and participants using Django, Python, React, CSS, SQL, and HTML in collaboration with two other group members.
Sales Data Analysis and Forecasting:
Utilized SQL for data extraction and preprocessing tasks and used Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation. Developed a forecasting model to predict future sales trends, improving inventory management and reducing stockouts and overstock situations by 15%.
CineMagic Movie Theatre Interface:
Developed a user-friendly interface for CineMagic movie theatre, using React, CSS, Bootstrap, and HTML allowing user to create an account and save personal and financial information.
Self Checkout System:
Designed a Self Checkout system using Java in collaboration with other groupmates. Implemented multiple classes such as PayWithCash, Receipt, and Items and gained leadership experiences through managing the project.
Formula1 Tracker Application:
Created a Formula1 Tracker in Java that ranks drivers and teams, providing winning percentages based on given data.
Maze Solver with DFS and BFS:
Implemented DFS and BFS algorithms in Java for a maze-solving project, showcasing strong problem-solving abilities.
How-to-Use-Computer Website:
Developed a How-to-use-computer website for elderly people and children using HTML and JavaScript with the goal of spreading awareness and helping them prevent getting scammed.
